Pool Party Ideas

Introduction

So what if it is super hot. We promise to party, no matter what!
A pool party is about hot bods and hotter bikinis. But you can design it as you like it. Pool parties are rocking for kids and adults alike when loaded with games, pranks, music, exotic food and open bars. They are a great way to celebrate summer vacations, birthdays, graduations, and just about anything under the sun!

How to organize

To throw the perfect pool party, you should make your own theme invitations, plan games, arrange appropriate foods and beverages, and plan beach and pool-inspired decor. Create a guest list. Give everybody at least 2 weeks’ notice about your party. A month’s notice is ideal in order to be ultra considerate for busy schedules. Begin to set the stage with your invitations. Print your invitations on aqua blue coloured paper stock and send them in a mailing tube or better still, save paper and send online invitations cards via www.eventeve.com Send out another reminder 3 or 4 days before the party. Keep people reminded in order to maximize the number of people at your party. A truly happening party is a crowded one.

Set the mood for the evening

  • Dress up your pool by surrounding it with inflatable palm trees and tiki statues.
  • Let your guests lounge around in style by positioning chaise lounges around the pool, cover each chair with a brightly coloured towel for added comfort.
  • To give your guests a place to put drinks and snacks, put side tables next to each chair. Place waterproof disposable cameras and bottles of sunscreen on each table for guests to use.
  • Position dining tables near the pool area and decorate them with pots of brightly coloured gerbera daisies.
  • Sprinkle a runner of sand down each table and decorate with sea shells for a beach look.
  • Hang lanterns across the pool and over your tables for extra colour.
  • Cover the pool surface with rubber ducks, balls and balloons.
  • When the sun starts to set, let floating candles set sail across your calm pool waters to brighten up the entire pool area.

Dress

Beat the heat this summer, wear cool outfits and party!

  • Carry a well-fitted bathing suit/bikini, a cover up (a simple tunic, wrap around or a men’s shirt paired with a waist belt) or a sarong draped around your hips, shoes/sandals/flip flops, sunscreen, etc.
  • If you’re conscious about your shape, go for an attractive and less-revealing beach apparel. Just because it’s a pool party doesn’t mean you have to swim. Gauzy halter dresses, a brightly coloured tunic over shorts or capris are all appropriate.
  • You’ll look chic in a short white skirt teamed up with a short top or a bikini.
  • Cover your head with a sun hat. It’s feminine and good protection from the sun for your hair and face. If you don’t like hats, comb your tresses into an easy summer style, such as a ponytail.
  • For boys prefer a sporty or casual look, a T-shirt and shorts is the way to go. You can choose any type of T-shirt from a simple elegant one of high quality fabric or a cotton tee with a snappy remark on it.
  • Sport your haute shades to grab some extra compliments.
