1 Minute Straw Games

Game 1: Straws in hair

Both Boys and Girls can play this game.
You can choose to judge them separately, if you wish.

To get ready, all the participants should remove all their hair accessories and leave their hair open.

• Distribute many colorful straws to all participating kids.
• As soon as the leader calls out ‘Start’, each participant has to start tucking in straws into his/her own hair.
• At the end of 1 minute, everyone is asked to stop.
• The child with maximum number of straws in his/her hair wins!

Alternatively, the mothers of the kids can also be involved by asking them to tuck in the straws in their kid’s hair.

Game 2: Knots in Straws

This is a game to be played in pairs. Pair up with your father/mother/sister/brother/spouse or a friend.
Each player is handed over a straw, so partners have 1 straw each. At the sound of START, partners have to make knots to tie up their straws with each other’s. At the end of 1 minute, knots are counted for each pair. The pair with maximum number of knots in their straws, wins!
